Superior Security
With your own personal code, you can enter your home with just a few simple pushes of a button—and you can easily and securely lock it with just one. In addition to personal code settings, you can assign a temporary code to whoever needs one—in-laws, babysitters, dog walkers, household help—and delete it when you see fit. Operation is also simple: to lock, press the lock button just once; to open, just enter the code on the keypad and the deadbolt will automatically retract. To program your first user code, press the program button on the interior unit once, enter a four- to eight-digit code into the keypad, and press the lock button to save it. (Follow the same instructions for programming the second user code, except press the program button twice.)

Simple Installation and Re-Keying
In addition to the touchpad electronic deadbolt, the Signature Series Powerbolt features Kwikset's SmartKey re-key technology, allowing you to exercise strict control over who has access to your home. The SmartKey cylinders feature a stainless steel side locking bar, racks, and pins for increased strength and security, and patented side locking bar technology offers improved security by protecting against lock bumping, an attack technique used to defeat conventional pin and tumbler locks.

Kwikset's patented pre-assembled design guarantees hassle-free installation—all you need is a Phillips screwdriver. You can re-key your lock in three easy steps: Insert the functioning key and turn it 1/4 turn clockwise; insert and remove the SmartKey learn tool and remove the functioning key; insert the new key and turn it 1/2 turn counter clockwise. The lock will then be re-keyed without the hassle and cost of replacing the entire lock or removing it from your door.
